3ºESO students visited the Museum of Emigration in Colombres. This visit was part of the project they carried out in Geography classes on the phenomenon of migratory movements. In addition to admiring the Quinta de Guadalupe that represents the characteristics of Indian architecture, the students enjoyed a very extensive exhibition about Asturian emigration to America. One of the areas that they liked the most was the one dedicated to the photographs of the time showing the hardest and least idyllic side of emigration. Photographs, documents, letters, pieces of furniture and other objects of the time helped students imagine what life was like then and understand the reasons why people of the same age embarked on this adventure, for many tragic and without return.
