11th February 19
Last Friday, February 8th, we welcomed the Asturian surfer, Carmen López, who gave an inspiring talk to the students from 5th of Primary to 2nd ESO, about being a surfer while being blind. Carmen was the first Spanish surfer to participate in the Adapted Surfing World Championships, held in La Joya, California, last December 2018, reaching the final and taking home for the first time in the history of national surfing, the copper medal. It was a remarkable example of resilience and improvement and her message was an inspiration for all, a reminder that obstacles can be overcome with effort and motivation. Thank you Carmen for your words and for passing on all your optimism and your strength to us.
