Our team, Prix Roboters (2nd ESO), competed in February, in the First Lego League qualifying tournament in Ferrol, where they have achieved the “Lego Education Trophy for young promises”. These programs allow young people to discover their passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) while solving real problems through meaningful and ludic learning.
Javier Medina, CSIC researcher and co-director of the “Seedling Growth” project (carried out by NASA and ESA) has commented favourably on the project that the team have been working on to develop cultivation in space and zero gravity, which is very possible. In addition, they participated in robotics tests and demonstrated how they have integrated a series of values and competencies such as collaboration, cooperation, teamwork, critical thinking or communication, all of them essential in the 21st century.
