On March 22nd we celebrated Languages Day in the school. Students took part in different activities related to the learning of the different languages in the school. In French we had Sabrina Clemente, director of Alliance Française in Oviedo, who had several workshops in French with the students. For German our 5º and 6º students had the popular TV contest “Know and win”, using their tablets to answer questions about life and traditions in German speaking countries.
We also had the visit of Lee Wolfe and his partner, Lucía Alonso, who sang in English, French and German for Secondary and Sixth Form students, and the company “La Tourné” that presented their play “Peter Pan in Neverland” for the youngest.
Our 2º and 3º ESO students had the play “Heaven, Earth and a Horse of Wood”, a comedy about Trojan War for their Secondary classmates, and in the afternoon 1º ESO students did Mary Poppins for 3 to 6º of Primary students. A day full of activity to highlight the importance of learning languages.
