Did you know why the Poles are different?

Part of our Natural Science lesson today was based on that question. With everyone’s help and using a rock that students brought we could represent the Antarctic Continent covered by ice and, next to it, floating in water an ice mass, or what is the same, the North Pole.

As ice melted in both Poles, we saw that the thawing of the North Pole doesn’t affect the sea level while the thawing of the South Pole makes the sea level rise.
