Primary Class 6A have recently expanded their horizons and made contact with the Countryside Village School in Canada.
6A took part in a project called Adventure ´15 which aimed to link schools around the world using Skype or Google Hangout on one day only. Schools who registered for the project were then linked according to the age of the students and availability of timetables. The project was a great success with more than 3000 schools from 62 nations taking part.
Although they were nervous at first, the children of 6A had a great time chatting with students from a year 7 class and their teacher, Phil Young. Due to the time difference – when it is 9:00 in Canada, it is 15:00 in Spain –we had to chat with the students in our last class of the day. We had lots of questions for them about the school, their homes, the music they like and food they eat! They asked us about our school, hobbies, sports and did we like Justin Bieber!!
In the new term we will continue our chats with Canada and learn more about the similarities and differences between life in Canada and Spain. We will then post our project on the school website. Watch this space!
